ATTICA RAGE are preparing to release their eagerly awaited debut album this summer through their own independent label Vanduara Records. ‘RUIN NATION’ features eleven tracks of solid rock grooves, powerful metal anthems and dark, epic soundtracks. The LP has been self produced by the band with bassist Big C at the helm, recording & mixing in his own home studio. The album has been mastered by producer, DJ and multi platinum selling musician & songwriter ACE guitarist and founding member of SKUNK ANANSIE in London. Legendary MOTORHEAD artist JOE PETAGNO has designed the album cover art and new band logos. ATTICA RAGE will support the album’s release with a string of UK tour dates throughout the summer months and a full PR campaign throughout the year. The band will also perform at European open air festival METAL CAMP 2008 in July alongside IN FLAMES, ICED EARTH, MINISTRY, APOCALYPTICA, HELLOWEEN, ARCH ENEMY, OPETH, CELTIC FROST, MESHUGGAH, WINTERSUN, MORBID ANGEL, SOILWORK and more . ATTICA RAGE had been shortlisted on METAL CAMP 08 festival’s fan voting poll amongst 1200 unsigned independent bands from 60 countries worldwide and the overwhelming demand for ATTICA RAGE to appear led to the promoter’s decision to book them for this year’s festival.

Formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 2003 by Ayrshire brothers Richie Rage drums and Jonny Parr vocals, guitar with school friend Big C bass, vocals and Stephen Bell guitar joining in April 2007, a strong reputation has been established throughout Scotland and the UK through their energetic, commanding and consistent live performances and musicianship. ATTICA RAGE have supported a host of major touring bands from legendary metal icons SAXON, ARMORED SAINT with JOHN BUSH of ANTHRAX , DIAMOND HEAD and BLITZKRIEG to Israel metallers BETZEFER and post punk indie godfathers MARK E SMITH & THE FALL.

Since the release of self produced EP 'In Concert with the Mirror ' in 2005, ATTICA RAGE continue to find new fans across the globe. They receive regular radio airplay on terrestrial FM and internet stations across the UK, Europe and USA including BRUCE DICKINSON’s IRON MAIDEN BBC6 Music Rock Show, legendary rock DJ TOM RUSSELL’s Friday Night Rock Show on 96.3 FM Rock Radio and New York’s The Darkside on Breakthru Radio. Numerous features, interviews and reviews have been published in regional, national and international press, magazines and webzines, all increasing the band’s profile. KERRANG! heralded the EP as a blended mesh of bad ass riffs and pure metal revelry and TERRORIZER magazine named the band in a feature special on the rise of UK metal bands.

Comparisons have been drawn to the likes of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and METALLICA but each member of ATTICA RAGE brings their own influences to the mix. Their musical roots are firmly planted in the classic power groove riffs of BLACK SABBATH, AC DC, PANTERA, OZZY, MOTORHEAD and fellow Scots THE ALMIGHTY with nods to thrash titans MEGADETH, ANTHRAX and SLAYER and occasional flirtations with the darker sounds of TYPE O NEGATIVE and ALICE IN CHAINS. Staying true to their musical heritage, delivering powerful songs and performances with an unbridled and enthusiastic punk DIY attitude and belief while standing aside from the latest passing trends & fashions – have found ATTICA RAGE an ever increasing, loyal and passionate worldwide fan base.
